Received the TH-46PZ80U today. Never got to power it up as the screen was completely cracked. Called Amazon Customer Service immediately and was told that I could return the item and they would issue a refund. It turns out that they don’t have this model in stock right now, so I can’t receive a replacement at the same price I paid even if they get it in anytime soon (the current price from other vendors is well above what I paid). The service rep was absolutely no help and did nothing but say tough luck. So now I’m back to searching for a tv at a excellent price. And trust me, I won’t be searching Amazon!

It got here on time, works fantastic, and I like it. The only thing that really surprises me is how well the sound works. I have a system, but I nearly never use it because the built in speakers are sooooo much better than the other panasonic I have.

Wow,i recently bought this panasonic plasma and all i can say is perfect.I really have 3 other HD TVs i have a PHILLIPS 47″ LCD A 52″ samsung 720p(my daughter has that one excellent deal black friday) and a SONY 50″SXRD DLP 4 yrs now. This is my first plasma and by far is my favorite,i did alot of research on alot of tvs..aand although price was and is always a factor this panasonic is pound for pound awesome. The picture is clean and crisp,i am a huge sports fan(football!!) and the motion is gorgeous. Also not alot a glare(if any),i have to say i really got this plasma for $900.00 !! what value huh.It was the last one (show). All in all fantastic tv it has been perfect for me you will not be dissapointed.

New TVs are fantastic The best thing about a flat panel TV is you can get it off the floor and hang it on the wall or suspend it from the ceiling giving more room. We went from a rear projector 60″ to a 46″ plasma. No more glare on the screen, no more blur from standing too close either. The quality of the picture is fantastic to, seeing quite a lot of detail than before is the best. My husband wasn’t too keen on wide screen awhile back but I haven’t heard any complaints what – so – ever.

I had ordered the TV over thanksgiving early morning on Black Friday. I got the TV for an brilliant price on an average $200 less than current prices. The first TV that came in had a cracked glass screen. So I called up amazon to return it. They said they would issue a refund as they did not have this in stock anymore. I kept looking everyday for the TV on amazon. Luckily they had 1 unit left on the fourth day I was looking. I called up Amazon immideately and ordered the replacement. They promptly place the replacement order and sent it to me. The shipping company made an error in shipping (they got confused between the return shipment and the new shipment) and so I received the TV a couple days later. But yesterday was the first time we turned it on and the set up was a breeze. I did not have to do anything. Just set the channel and I was set to go. The picture looks nice and clear and crisp. I will post another review for the TV after I have had it for a few days.
I would like more brightness and contrast. But I will increase the brightness and contrast some more (currently set to 50, that is the default setting) after a month or so. I have heard and read at several places that it is best to keep the contrast and brightness low for the first 100 hours of usage for a plasma TV
