While it looks very cool, and blends easily, it didn’t get some of my local stations that I can get with the tiny antena from computer. I live on the 7th floor of a building in the middle of DC – every other antena can get all the local stations except for this one. It did get most, but missing a couple stations isn’t acceptable to me.

This antenna performed equal to a 10 year ancient VHF UHF antenna which is directional in design. I bought the RCA for it’s multi-directional capability. I have a excellent geographical position without buildings or obstructions at an elevation about equal to nearby TV station broadcasting sites. I receive about 26 different channels depending on atmospheric conditions. The antenna is very sensitive to location in the second floor location I have it mounted in and moving it a foot or two can make a difference in reception. Surprisingly I sometimes have more distress in holding reception on stations less than 20 miles away then I do the one or two I receive from a distance of 58 miles.

There are a lot of variables that effect reception and if you can use a directional antenna and don’t mind fussing with it I believe in most cases that would be a better choice. An outdoor roof mounted antenna is always superior to an indoor antenna.

Meets the need when I was in transition of moving over the summer and had no real use for cable. The picture/reception quality is excellent, but varies room to room. It doesn’t appear to be amplified with an actual power source, so I am guessing I would have better luck with those for the poor frequency days which is few and far between depending on the channel.
