anybody have experience with the 42" panasonic plasma 720p?

I have been looking into buying the tv from costco for $729. I was wondering if this is a excellent deal for this tv? does anyone know a better deal? Or does anyone have this tv already, and if you do how is your experience?? we do not play video games or have blue ray! thanks so much!!
we do have cable which has tons of hd channels..

Well, you’re not going to gain anything by buying a flatscreen HDTV if you don’t have get an HD source (Blu-Ray, HD Cable or Satellite.) If you live in or near enough to a large metropolitan area, you can use an antenna to your TV to get digital and HD programming from your local TV stations like CBS, NBC, ABC, etc over the air.
Without the Blu-Ray or the now dead HD DVD, your movies won’t be in HD, and might look worse than your current TV.
As for price, that sounds like a pretty excellent deal for a TV that size.
