Sony KDL-46W5150 – 46″ BRAVIA LCD TV – 120Hz – widescreen – 1080p – HDTV – black

im shopping for a new huge tv and i found a couple at excellent prices i reckon…..so im looking for suggestions

the Toshiba is 65" DLP rear projection for $1500
the Mitsubishi is also 65" but is a regular DLP for $1900

theyre both 1080p and most everything else si the same too…basically one is rear projction and one isnt……im just wondering if the extra 400 dollars is worth it for the regular dlp instead of projection…because ive heard about all the problems with the lamps in the projection tvs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated….or if anyone knows where i can get a better deal for a huge newer tv for the price?? Thanks

Well, I’d go for the Mitsubishi Too….

But I don’t know the difference between a rear projection and the Mits REGULAR DLP….

I thought they were BOTH Rear Projection DLP TV sets….
Or are you saying the Toshiba is a CRT Rear projection?

God….if it was a CRT Rear Projection unit, I’d jump on THAT ONE just because of it’s Reliability, it’s 1080 Native Resolution, and it’s Longevity AND it’s Cheapness over the LIFE of the TV set….

Only ONE FIX needed in the life of a CRT Projo…and that’s the Convergence amps…
But I’d PREFER it to be a Mitsubishi CRT Projo or Sony, or Hitachi….Toshiba is excellent but they sometimes need the HYPER board fixed on that brand….

Anyways, go for the Mitsubishi…they have a excellent track record of very few failures compared to other brands….

I just got a plasma TV?
Friday, March 26th, 2010 | Author:

I jsut got a fantastic deal on a floor model plasma tv (42 inch 720 panasonic for $450 at best buy full mfg warranty) My question is since it was a floor model I had to carry it upstairs while it was covered in bubble wrap the screen was leaning against my body (slight pressure) Could that cause any hurt? Also when I transport it in bubble wrap (and other wrappings) should the screen be up or down. It will remained wrapped up til christmas.

As much as possible, keep it vertical. Accidents involving the glass are more likely if it is horizontal.

My brother has a 42" LG plasma in his room and it does lag alot like when changing channels it lags and takes longer than usual its not fluent is this frequent with all LG’s. i just posted a question on which should i get out of a 23" Samsung or a 32" LG the LG was £60 extra. Most people except for LG owners said Samsung hands down. And LG is prone to break easily? Is it right? I read like 30 reivews of the LG and all said it was fantastic etc and a must buy. But most are just using it to watch TV im using it to play my Xbox so it may not be so excellent for that?

Im really undecided because the TV will be in my room and mostly used on my Xbox Elite. On one hand i have this really sleak and stylish 23" Samsung which everyone says is the best brand for LCD’s and then on the other hand i have this sleak 32" LG model. Which is only £60 more. The quality in terms of pixels is double in terms of the picture quality with the Samsung as the LG is only around 100000 and the Samsung is about 200000. It would be nice to have a nice 32" screen in my room to play it in should i settle for a smaller one of 23" is LG that terrible?

So is LG really that terrible and is it laggy my brothers does but do all LG’s do? The Samsung is really nice but so is the LG?

Theres 3 potential TV’s i could get 2 LG’s and on Samsung you choose which you reckon is best suited for my Elite?

Which should i get read the specifications please dont just look at the inches which is the best quality and the best deal?

I would go for the Lg 32" because it is the largest, and looks excellent. I personally have a samsung 32" and i like it.. I also had to pick between Samsung and LG, and picked the Samsung because both were similar quality but the samsung looked better. But to be honest, i reckon that they are both as excellent as each other – so the LG because 23" is too small and the LG from argos is really excellent value for money.
