thank you all sooo much….(i had a HORRIBLE experiance buying a $1500 toshiba laptop in the past…i don’t want it to happen again)
thank you all again…….
(Dude!! said that there might be mistake with the XPS 400 price, but no no, the price is %100 right…from their website
leadbelly questioned about my main use. I am sorry i did not provide that. Here it is,
1-I do writing…A LOT of writing (about to publish a book! I know, very very exciting!)
2-i do like to do some gaming (some very new games like Prince of Persia)
3-i do some 3D modeling from time to time.
4-chating with friends from overseas.
i reckon that’s about it (it’s like i do everything)….thank you all once more..
It all depends on what you want to do, obviously the Dell has a better graphics card than the HP and may be a bit quicker than the HP processor wise, but the HP has more features and a larger HD as well.
Bottom line.
Get the XPS if you are plotting playing video games because you can swap out the PCI x16 video card where as for the HP, if the video dies, then you’ll have to disable the onboard video and get another video card to replace the onboard video. If it’s terrible enough, you might just have to repalce the mother board on the HP if it’s that terrible.
Get the HP if you want features and don’t plot on doing a lot of gaming. This is an all purpose machine that has an awesome litescribe burner bundled with a multiport card reader, which is nice if you have a camera or something that needs those ports.
Again, it’s up to you on what you want to do. I personally game, so I would get the XPS, but then agian, I’d prefer to build my own. Hope this helped.
Seller is asking $190, is this a excellent deal? Here is the posting… Please let me know if this is a excellent deal or if I should offer him less money..

Well, from the pic it looks ok, but I reckon you could probably talk the seller down to like $150 or so.. maybe lower.
Let’s face it.. that technology is honestly out dated. And remember, if you currently get you signal from an antenna, in February you’ll have to out and buy a converter box (unless this TV has an ATSC tuner)
Looking to get a TV in the neighborhood of $1500-$2000 and it seems like the best deal I have seen so far. any other thoughts?

Based on what I’ve read, it’s a very promising technology. It’s too early to tell, but preliminary reviews are generally pretty excellent. One, but, said that even though the picture comes on quicker than most projections, it takes awhile to get to full brightness. As with all new technologies, I would recommend a wait and see posture.
As far as the technology goes, it’s quite fascinating. Here are some clean links:

I’m wondering if the other answerer even bothered to check out what you’re referring to. Apparently not.
Right now I have a HORRIBLE 13" TRUTECH tube tv that is SOOO terrible for my ps3 and regular tv viewing- So Im looking at better tv’s to get and the best deal looks to be this-

Its lg, has 5 milisecond responce, FULL 1080p huge 32" screen
What do you reckon does that look excellent?
The specs are decent enough. It’s certainly much better than TRUTECH. I’ve heard both excellent and terrible things about LG, which I suppose could be said about most HDTV manufacturers. If you get a excellent one, you’re pleased; if you get a terrible one, you’re not. I believe LG is sort of middle-of-the-pack. Not the top of the line, but much better than bottom-of-the-barrel. Certainly stay away from Insignia, Dynex, Durabrand, Westinghouse, Ilo (all "store brands") as well as manufacturers you haven’t heard of. Before I make a major buy/investment like buying a huge screen HDTV, I not only check the specs, I also check out the manufacturer’s web site to gauge the level of support I can expect to receive, read reviews such as CNET and other web logs, and read other reviews from current owners.
Personally I would lean more toward the top of the line manufacturers (as far as reputation for quality, reliability, durability, and customer service goes). This would be Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp. But to each his/her own.
Check this Vizio deal out at Walmart if you’re interested – a 32" LCD with decent specs for $398. And you can get a 3-year extended warranty for $44.98. It won’t hurt to look.

Does anyone know why Fox shows all of their NFL Games in HDTV while CBS only shows some. Same deal with Versus and the NHL. Some games are in HDTV while others are not. Can someone clarify?
It’s all about what the networks reckon the viewers want. Filming games in HD is limited by the cost and amount of equipment, you have to film it in HD to be able to air it in HD. Therefore if the network thinks that not as many people will watch a game as apposed to another they simply will only film it standard definition to save some money.
