Antennas Direct DB2 Multi Directional HDTV Antenna

I am trying to tune a Direct TV receiver to an older model Sony TV. The TV is a sony model number KV 1984MT. All that runs to the TV from the receiver is a Yellow and White adio/video cable, but the TV just isn’t picking up the signal from the receiver. any suggestions?

I have a 20AF45 Toshiba TV and I’ve lost the remote…it is stuck in the video mode, so I’m not able to watch TV. There is an input button on my Direct TV remote, so I know that if I program it to the TV, I will be able to change the mode. I don’t know much about the programming mumbo jumbo so please use general words and directions. Thank you for any help you can give me!
