Free Ringtones For Your Mobile Device at Soundsnap

In this video, I discuss a well loved topic at Bwana.TV, ringtones. My Free iPhone Ringtone video at Youtube is one of my most well loved to date. It was made when iTunes 7.4.1 was released and it used a workaround that I thought would not last for a month. Instead, this workaround works on the latest iTunes 8.0.2. This video demonstrates how to make ringtones form the rich sound loop library at Soundsnap.com. This solution is for the iPhone only, but if your mobile device supports mp3 ringtones, then all you need to do is download your favorite loop from Soundsnap, and copy it to your mobile device. With the iPhone, this trick that I demonstrate involves renaming the file extension to .M4R after converting the MP3 to AAC. Soundsnap saves you the distress of editing your sounds to loop correctly and offers a ton of sound effects, music loops and the like. I’ve already made 2 ringtones in less than 10 minutes of surfing the site. I highly recommend you check out Soundsnap.com for all kinds of music loops use this technique or whatever technique you prefer to transfer those loops your mobile device. Delight in!

LG CES 2010: Broadband & Wireless Connectivity on your TV

Nearly all the LG HDTVs shown at CES offer a connectivity package with a variety of entertainment options, including NetCast Entertainment Access™. With NetCast, consumers can access the following content sites for an nearly endless array of entertainment options:

• Skype™: Newly added in 2010, this allows consumers to make free video and voice calls over the Internet to family members and friends (separate camera and other equipment needed).
• YouTube™: Offers the ability to instantly stream millions of Web videos directly from the Internet (without a personal computer).
• Yahoo! Widgets™: Enables access to various applications called TV Widgets that allow viewers to interact with well loved Internet services and online media through applications specifically tailored to the needs of the watcher, such as up-to-the minute Yahoo! News, Weather and Finance, and new widgets, including CBS, Showtime and CNBC.

LG also has incorporated the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) technology across the full line of LED models. DLNA allows consumers to access content stored on other DLNA-certified devices within the home, such as computers, making content options nearly limitless.

Providing simple options for connecting to the Internet, in addition to the wired Ethernet jack, all NetCast-enabled sets can integrate into a wireless home network by using a USB wireless broadband adaptor (sold separately). All models with NetCast also support multi-media playback from a connected USB device including photos (JPEG), music (MP3) and video (DivX HD).

For greater convenience and flexibility in setup and installation, all HDTV series with NetCast also offer wireless Full HD 1080p wireless transmission from a Wireless Media Hub from up to 98 feet. Connecting source components, such as Blu-ray players, cable or satellite boxes and video games to the media hub enables transmission to a compact receiver adaptor, which attaches to the back of the TV, hidden from view. This eliminates the need for individual components to be connected directly to the TV, making for a clean and simple installation and removal of the unsightly wires (Media Hub and receiver adaptor sold separately as a package).
